A very rare, vintage 1987, beautiful Hermes silk scarf ‘Jeu Des Omnibus et Dames Blanches’ designed by Hugo Grygkar. White background with multi-colour horse drawn carriages with a circle in the middle with white ladies ‘dames blanches’ sitting around a table. This is one of the very first scarf by HERMES, it was first issued in 1937, 1987, 2007 and the last reissued is dated 2010. Just a century after Thierry Hermès created the company. Robert Dumas, the Director of Hermès, produced in 1937 the first carré named ‘Jeu des omnibus et Dames blanches’ (Since it has been reissued many times in other colours). The theme it is like the ‘Goose game-jeu de l’oie’ edited in 1832 a very popular game at the the time and this scarf was made as a tribute to the first public transport train lines in Paris in 1828. It is a stunning piece, MUST-HAVE in your wardrobe.
