HERMÈS Scarf Couvertures Et Tenues Du Jour By Jacques Eudel First Issue 1974 W/Box
An emblematic Hermès design, beautiful horses, a RARE first issue ‘Couvertures et Tenues du Jour’ with box. This scarf was design by Jacques Eudel in 1974 and this is the first issue. This design with multiple equestrian horses has never been reissued. However in 2006, Hermès reissued a special issue commemorating the FEI World Equestrian Games, which were held in Aachen, Germany from August 20th to September 3rd, 2006. The design has slightly changed, a medal was added in the middle in which it is written ‘Couvertures et tenues de jour – pour l’écurie l’attente et la présentation. The design represents a multiple horses covered with a blanket marked with the design and colour of each owner and adapted to each event of the day: the stable, the wait, the presentation… Must-Have’ a collectible rare scarf.
