CHRISTIAN DIOR Bar Jacket Suit Herringbone Chevrons Single Breasted Vintage
A stunning Rare vintage Christian Dior skirt and BAR jacket (Met Museum) wool suit with black and white herringbone ‘chevrons’ patterns. It is a marked waist jacket, made to underline the curves, from which the Bar jacket is derived from Christian Dior catwalk in 1947. Handcrafted with a V-cut jacket single breasted with notched shawl collar, embellished with a Dior pin brooch with a black velvet bow, with four large Dior black buttons. Two large slit pockets, the shoulder and pockets are padded to focus on the waist size. A matching mid-length fitted skirt with waistband and loops, two large overlapping pockets, zipper and a double pleats behind. The suit is fully lined in silk fabric with Dior logo. A very rare Christian Dior vintage suit, ‘Must-Have’ in your wardrobe, Dior j’Adore! A real play on volumes perfectly represented by the Bar Jacket, still today one of the flagship pieces of the French fashion house.
