These shoes are handmade by Massaro workshop, the renowned Parisian custom shoemaker located at 2 Rue de la Paix – 75001 Paris. Handcrafted with high-end French craftsmanship, from a combination of leather, satin and delicate French Calais lace-ruffles. There are a multi-layered black lace ruffles across the elasticated front strap, a large detachable satin bow on the ankle strap. An open-toe silhouette with a platform sole. A chunky gold tone flare spool Victorian style heels. The Story Behind:
Massaro is famous for creating iconic footwear for Chanel, including their signature two-tone sling-backs (under Coco Chanel) and various runway styles under both Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard. Massaro began its historic partnership with Chanel in 1957, when Raymond Massaro (grandson of the founder) developed the first two-tone sling-back sandal for Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. The collaboration evolved significantly over the decade. The early Collaboration started in 1950s until 1990s. Massaro became a regular collaborator, crafting iconic designs that challenged fashion norms, such as the 6 centimeters block heel at a time when high stilettos were popular. Chanel officially acquired Massaro in 2002 to preserve specialty artisan workshops. Today, Massaro remains the primary shoemaker for Chanel’s Haute Couture and Métiers d’Art collections. For example, they recently developed a collection of sling-backs for the Spring-Summer 2026 Haute Couture show. Notably, Massaro is the only name officially permitted to be stitched into the shoe’s insole alongside with the Chanel logo.

Condition A-: Vintage-Preowned, 1985, a VERY RARE Chanel Classic Timeless flap bag in red letter box. In excellent vintage condition, small normal aged related wear, the lambskin leather is in excellent condition with a stunning patina, darker patina on rear of bag. The 24K gold plated clasp, hardware and interior are in very good condition, the gold hardware is in very good condition, slight leather indentation on one side on the hidden underneath interior flap due to the interlaced strap chain. Signed in gold stamp Chanel®, made in France. Gold plated 24k stamp on the interlocking CC logo. This bag is a true vintage bag, made in 1985, there is no hologram-serial number during this period. Delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity, the original dust-bag and a vintage Chanel box.
