A stunning vintage, RARE Yves Saint Laurent Vintage Runway Chinese Collection suit from Yves Saint Laurent Fall-Winter 1990s “Les Chinoises”, a “Must-Have”! This rare YSL vintage red-black suit is tailored wonderfully for a beautiful waist and silhouette. It is handcrafted with luxury silk and wool Brocade red motif fabric and fully lined with red silk. The jacket has a Mandarin-Mao high collar, piping seam embellishment in black silk cord, closes at the front with traditional large decorative four silk large Chinese knot frog buttons fasteners. Padded shoulders, long sleeves with three black braided decorative buttons. The jacket is accented with slightly puffed ruffle design that gives it the most fabulous couture finished. The skirt closes at the front with a hidden waist button and a metal clasp with a diagonal full length slit at the front with three braided decorative black buttons. Two hidden pockets, one on each side. The skirt is fully lined.

The Story Behind: The “Spanish” collection was followed by the “Chinoises” collection, which corresponded with the launch of Yves Saint Laurent’s new fragrance Opium. China served as the couturier’s new source of inspiration, and its folklore fed his imagination. Saint Laurent drew on the colours, shapes, and materials of such places as Africa, Russia, Spain, and China for his own extraordinary creative journeys.
