Hermès necktie has been the anchor of respectable business suits since its introduction in 1949. Fourteen graphic designers work on the pattern and colour. Once they finalise the look, they hand-stencil it onto silk. Each tie has 10 different colours. Hermès is the only house-brand to incorporate such a large variety of shades,” Goineau Artistic Director says. “Colour is the first, and most important, element of selection.” The panels are cut one by one. Unlike makers of mass-produced ties, which have three parts (a large panel, a smaller panel, and a collar), Hermès cuts its ties into just two panels from the same piece of silk…..

Condition A-: Vintage-preowned – in good condition, no apparent signs of wear, normal use condition, just some tiny stains. Signed Hermès, 997 SA, made in France, 100% silk. Dry clean only.
