Behind the story :
Marc Bohan was the Christian Dior designer (creative director for the women’s and haute couture lines) in 1972. Marc Bohan held this position for a long tenure, from 1960 to 1989, making him the longest-serving designer in the house’s history. His style for Dior was known for being more conservative, elegant, and practical, a departure from the “youthquake” fashions of the era, which appealed to a clientele that included Princess Grace of Monaco and Sophia Loren.
