This scarf was designed by Hugo Grygkar in 1949, this is the first issue. A soft grey borer, off-white background with grey, black, gold, red, blue and green colour shades. The design depicts a variety of well detailed French Hussards historical military caps, shakos and helmets. The drawing incorporates military historical elements such as the phrase "Vaincre ou Mourrir" (To Conquer or to Die - Win or Die) or "Aincre" alongside various regiment insignias-mark that shows the military rank with numbers on the helmets such as 36, 2 , 17 etc. A "Must-Have" a very rare highly collectible military scarf and to wear around your neck, as per photos attached, in your hair or with a Birkin, Kelly or with any of your bag. The Story behind:Hermès Scarf Designer Hugo Grygkar - one of the most prolific designer for Hermès He was the first artist to design a Hermès scarf in 1937. He was born in Germany in 1907 to a Czech family that moved to France in 1914. Robert Dumas-Hermès developed a strong relationship with Grygkar until his death in 1959. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later joined Hermès where he became the first scarf designer for the House of Hermès. Hugo Grygkar designed over 100 iconic scarves for Hermès, using unique style, creativity and ingenuity. He worked at Hermès until his death in 1959, leaving behind an amazing legacy of unparalleled craftsmanship and an unforgettable artistic talent.
